BYOT for Promoting Critical Thinking Skills

As students encounter a wealth (or excess) of information in the Digital Age, they have to think critically to distinguish facts from opinions and to recognize propaganda.  Furthermore, students have to learn to construct original solutions to real world problems.  The implementation of Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) can provide students and teachers with the technology tools for accumulating and organizing information.  How can teachers encourage critical thinking within their BYOT classrooms? What specific strategies can be employed in BYOT for developing skills in inquiry and reflection?  How can problem-solving abilities be scaffolded and strengthened through BYOT?

Join the #BYOTchat discussion in Twitter on Thursday, May 31, from 9:00-10:00 EDT to explore possible answers to the above questions and share your thoughts and ideas about using BYOT to promote critical thinking.
